FACULTY |
| Yani’s Herd: |
 |
Yani
Yani is an 12 year old buckskin dun quarter horse mare standing 14.2 hands high.
She is the lead mare of her herd. Yani is also the proud mother of Grace, her
first foal born May 4th, 2006. What people remember about Yani is her compelling
presence, her maternal nature and her gift of being a patient and compassionate
teacher. |
 |
Harley
Harley is a 16 year old buckskin dun quarter horse gelding standing 16.2 hands
high. He is the lead gelding of this herd and very devoted protector of Yani
and Grace. Harley loves to nap in the sun, graze on spring grass, adventurous
trail rides, and a lot of attention. Most of all, he loves Yani. |
 |
Rocky
Rocky is a 18 year old sorrel quarter horse/paint standing 15.1 hands high. He
is our senior faculty member and our wisest TeachingHorse. He is known for
being able to sense where people have energetic blocks in their bodies that
they need to pay attention to and resolve. He is patient, gentle and takes
great pleasure in connecting with people as they groom him. |
 |
Grace
Grace is a 1 year old buckskin dun paint filly and the emerging ambassador of this
herd. She will be the first to notice and greet people as they come to the
pasture. You can almost hear her say, “Hi! My name is Grace. What is
yours?” Grace is playful and, much to Yani’s dismay, very independent
and a bit mischievousϑ. She has stolen all of our hearts. |
| Dream’s Herd: |
 |
Dream
Dream is a 6 year old red roan American Wild Horse standing 15 hands high. She
is the lead mare of her herd. Dream has a wise and regal presence with deep
soulful eyes. Even as a young lead mare, she is known for her calm, willing
nature and her wisdom as a leader, creating harmony in her herd. |
 |
Lucky (Peanut)
Lucky is 6 year old liver chestnut American Wild Horse standing 13.2 hands high.
Lucky is Dream’s little brother, sired by the same father and herd stallion.
In his eyes, he is small, but he is mighty and is the primary protector of
Dream. He is also a kind and gentle teacher. Sometimes he can be a bit of a
jokester when he tries to untie your shoelaces. |
 |
Hope
Hope is a 6 year old chestnut American Wild Horse standing 14 hands high. Hope
is the sister of Dream and Lucky and she is the ambassador of their herd. She
has a keen eye and is the first to notice when a stranger approaches. She has
many incredible leadership qualities and is often the peace keeper of the herd
as well. Hope loves belly scratches and treats and is the kind of friend you
know you will have for life. |
 |
Galen
Galen is a 13 year old bay Oldenberg standing 18 hands high. Galen is the newest
member of our herd and comes to us from Lisa Wall at Centerline Farm in Apex,
North Carolina. Lisa knew Galen’s destiny was to be a TeachingHorse and
has graciously allowed him to join our faculty. Needless to say, this gentle
giant is a gifted teacher and loves being with people. We think of him as super-sized
love muffin. His greatest gift is teaching the lesson that it’s the size
of your heart that matters the most. Dream, Lucky, and Hope welcomed Galen
into their herd and Hope claimed him as hers. |
